    Disney Film Cars

We have just been to see this film and can thoroughly recommend it........

Lightning McQueen, a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. McQueen gets to know the town’s offbeat characters- who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies.

    Starring.......

    Paul Newman
    Owen Wilson
    Bonnie Hunt
    Larry The Cable Guy
    John Ratzenberger

Have to say that we were a little dissapointed with Cars, although it is good in parts and the scenery and race scenes in the film are fantastic, we found that it was perhaps over long (the two kids we took were 7 and 5, glad we didn't take our 10 month old) and plenty of other kids in the cinema were getting fidgety. It just didn't seem to have the same interest or quality of character as Toy Story 1 or 2, Monsters Inc. or Finding Nemo. I would be wary of taking under 5's as I don't know that it will hold their attention all the way through. Funniest bit is the closing credits.

Our youngest is 4 and she was OK but I think it was a bit slow to get going maybe at the start but we still loved it, we are going to get the Playstation game for my 9 y/o as he is mad about cars[msnwink]

In Morrisons today they have party kits in the Disney Cars theme. Plates, napkins, cups, party bags, etc.

In Wilkinsons they are selling Disney Cars wallpaper and border paper.

We saw this last week with our 7 year old and 4 year old cousin. The 4 year old fell asleep!! (he didn't want to be there because he wanted to see "stormbreaker" but he wasn't allowed as he is too young), and the 7 year old got a bit fidgety. I have to say, it was really slow to start and quite disjointed at times, especially for kids, but it did pick up towards the end. We have since seen "over the hedge" and can thoroughly recommend that!
