My parents flew from Manchester last yearand booked Star Class Premier. Going out due to technical reasons they had to fly in another aircraft and had to refuel in Canada so they were not best pleased. However....coming home made up for the outward journey, my parents always fly PE with Virgin but thought the service they had on the FC return journey was better than any they had had in the past.

We had a similiar experience to Paula's parents last year.
Flew FC from Newcastle and booked Star Class Premier. On our outward journey it was due to be the refurbished aircrafts first flight and of course it wasn't ready. We were put on an Icelandic Air flight with Icelandic crew and it was terrible, some of you may remember me posting about it at the time [msnsad] [msnmad]
But the return journey was great [clap] on that experience I would use them again, good value I thought

I always upgrade with any of the charter airlines as I think it is very good value for money. Think it was about an extra 179 pounds to upgrade last year. Better seats and less noice overall.

There's a good article in the Travel section of today's Daily Telegraph about charters outdoing the scheduled carriers on legroom. Their 'premium economy' products do seem good value.
I think when they upgrade all the planes during this year some of them will have more legroom in economy than the scheduled airlines. First choice economy is currently 33" compared to Virgin 31"
We upgraded in January with First choice we thought it was well worth the money.![]()
We've flown with first choice from gatwick and have also used My travel from cardiff and first choice wins every time. We're booked for first choice next may from Bristol and it will be interesting what the planes will be like as the runway is not long enough for the big boeings and i know there will be re-fueling stop but not sure where or even what type of plane it will be.
Can't wait! [clap]
