    Another Which One

    Hi all,
Went to orlando in Nov.2005 had a great time but our hotel was a bit of a let down (The Rodeway inn). So as we have our friends joining us for our next trip in Nov 2007, we are going to try a villa.
As you all know there are some lovley villas around but it's more which comunity we stay at thats the problem. We are drawn to crescent lakes but having had a look on google earth it seems a bit isolated and we did enjoy having a short walk to the bars and resturants on the I. Drive. So can any of You recommend a comunity which maybe has a club/bar on site just to have a few beers in after a hard day at the theme parks.

    Thanks for reading
    Ian and Lisa

Southern Dunes has a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant, but unfortunately it is not open in the evening. There is a sport's bar/restaurant opposite the community, but I wouldn't recommend trying to walk to it.
There is also a great family restaurant just a few minutes drive down the road - Manny's Chophouse which also has a bar and a very lively atmosphere.

We have stayed on Crescent Lakes and thought it was a bit out of the way for our liking. We prefer Southern Dunes, we went to the sports bar opposite the main entrance on our first night, last trip, nice atmosphere, nice food, reasonably priced.

Hi Ian and Lisa, the Formosa Gardens subdivision consisting of Rolling hills,Indian Creek,Oak Island Cove and Formosa Gardens Estate is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to an outback steakhouse, tgi's and about 5 other eateries, we often walk it so that we can have a beer without driving.

There's nothing about Crescent Lakes that's isolated! [msnoo] It is in the middle of a huge wildlife conservation area but restaurants, shops, etc are only a few minutes away too.

I will have to check it out when we go in September, but you could well be right!
Having just looked at the website, I see that they are also doing dinners on Tuesday and Friday evenings.

There are many communities on the Hwy27. By Nov 2007 there should be more restaurants, shops in the Cagans Crossing area
