I remember Xandau - I was talking to Philip about it last time we were there but he said he couldn't remember it.
I also loved River Country as I helped my 4 year old neice learn to swim there.

I remember driving past Xanadu wondering what on earth it was.
I always remember after every park we visited we would head for John Young Parkway to get back to the villa which was on Lake Berkley[msnembarrased] we'd all cheer when we seen the water tower as we would then know our way back to 192 (Medival Times)

I looked into buying the place (or the land) They were asking 1.5million and it was quite large lot at around .7 acre. I made an offer no were near the asking price but they turned it down. It woold ahve been a great place to run an MC and ticket place from.

A run down shack on the 192 not far from the junction with the 535 that was apparently a "cocktail lounge"!! Can't remember it's name - think it was "bamboo" or "bahama" something?? Never plucked up the courage to stop by for a cocktail!

The Bambooo Lounge - one of my landmarks too...
I never plucked up the courage either - but it did look an interesting place [msnwink]

I remember being in the Hyatt at Lake Beuna Vista with open land all the day round! And Universal opening with all the rides breaking. Jaws was the worst!

We went to Epcot shortly after it opened on our second visit to Florida and were only laughing the other week at the tape of our 4 year old's excited squeals as we watched the fireworks (he is now 28).
