    What simulator next to Montu?

I think it was a rough ride, but it has memories for me, and I like to visit the old faithfuls
However, whatever comes will have to be based around the same machinery etc, I suppose, with an update?

The tiiming for the closing of BTTF seems a bit mean to me. you would have thought that they could leave the closure until Mid April after the large influx of guests that arrive over Easter.
Personally it was a ride that made me very sick, but my son really enjoyed it.

It made me sick too, but not as sick as I am that it is closing 2 weeks before we arrive.[msnsad]

    Bad timing.

We went on BTTF a lot of times this week it was not closed on Monday...it only needs updating...the Mummy is a flop...Jaws has more riders..sorry to say but the old rides are still the best...new rides are just about speed and have no thought behind them....

I thought The Mummy was superb myself, an absolutely cracking ride.

BTTF was good, but it is dissapointing when you sit in the front as you can see all of the other cars which reminds you it is far from real.

The only shame with The Mummy was that it replaced King Kong just before the new King Kong film was released which could have been capitalised on.

I agree about Earthquake as well, very dated but interesting for film buffs all the same.

I'm not happy that the parks are going away from rides that people can do as a family...and going in for more rollercosters...I could go to the funfair for those...

Well we tried to ride on BTTF in Feb, waited in the queue for 15 mins actually got to the reception room just before entering the car, then the door to return to the queue opened and we were told not to get into the car if the door opened. As we have not been on the ride before we thought it was part of the build up, but no the next instruction we got was that the ride had to be evacuated!!

Not to worry we thought we would try again on our next trip, but having read this thread it looks like its not to be, although also after reading the thread i may have had a lucky escape, as i'm not the bravest when it comes to rides.

I'm not surprised that rides like this one are starting to go. It's old, tired and throws you about more than being in a tumble drier. We have only been on it once and we came off black and blue. When you put this ride next to The Mummy, Hulk, Shrek 4D, Spiderman and even Twister it can't compete.
It will obviously have it's die hard fans who will get all nostalgic and teary eyed when it's time comes, but I'm sure whatever replaces it will be worth the wait.
