    Dropping of car time??

    hi,

i go out to florida at the end of july.

We land at Sanford 17:40 and car is available at 12:00 so thats ok.

On our return our flight is at 19:40 but the car has to be back at 12:00.

Can anyone advise on whats best to do as i dont fancy hanging around the airport for hours on end.

    Thanks

They time it from when you collect the car. I suspect on the booking form you didn't change the time, I think there is a default of 1200. You will collect your car about 1830 and need to check in about 1700, so that will be fine

They also allow a little extra over the agreed time. So if you got the car at 1800 and didnt return it until 1900 then it will be ok.

If you booked it through the OV car rental, then just contact Roger and ask to have the pick up time changed, which means the return time will also be changed.

It doesnt look like you booked through us, but as has been suggested, contact your supplier and ask them to amend the times. Some companies may charge for this amendment (we wouldnt!) but would still be cheaper than otherwise risking paying an extra day rental to the car hire company.

My brother-in-law booked a car through this site and was really pleased with the service.
When he filled out the agreement, he put the time of return an hour after the time of collection and the system charged for an extra day's rental (which he thought was O.K.).
He then phoned with a query about the sat nav he wanted to order and was told that the car rental time could be amended by an hour, therefore saving him the extra day's hire charge!

Thnaks for all your replies. Its with Dollar as the whole holiday was booked through Airtours.

I didnt think about what time i would be picking the car up so that makes sense.

    Thanks again
