We arrive Thursday afternoon in July and plan to do Animal Kingdom on the Friday. We are all likely to be up pretty early[8D]

Thanks everyone, looks like it will be MGM on the Friday and Seaworld Sat or Sunday, I do realise we need rest days and they will be in the list somewhere, dare I say this, but I am not too bothered about shopping[:O][msnembarrased] I know I am a woman and it is a different experience in Florida but give me a villa day instead just relaxing round the pool anytime[msneek][msnsmile2]][msncool] I must admit I do like to have a look around walmart, I also like the food shopping in Florida too. OOh all those gateaux and cakes in publix [msntongue] yummy.

If you are feeling a little tired and the teenagers are still rareing to go why not try Typhoon Lagoon sure that would cover everbodys needs.

You need to consider you park passes too. We use the Flexi Tickets, so on the 1st day go to one of their parks - usually sea world, then if we are tired and want to go back again we can and havent lost one of the days on the Disney Passes. Just a thought and hope it helps.
Diane.
Make sure you have a swim on arrival even if you feel too tired. The activity is good after the long flight and really does help you to sleep that night
I agree with Christine, Animal Kingdom is a much easier day and the kids will get their dose of the Disney characters. I would avoid the water parks at the weekend as they seem to be at their busiest then. It is certainly worth thinking about going to a theme park and then head back to the villa for a bit of relaxation before returning later on for the firework displays.
No matter how much planning you do though, it always seems to go a bit pear shaped for us so most of our visits we just plan from one day to the next.
You will have a fantastic time anyway though so dont worry too much[msnwink]

I would recommend Sea World on your first day. There are fewer rides to queue up for and more shows to sit down and watch if you are feeling tired still from the trip. On all our previous visits there has always been some ticket offer on whereby you get an extra day free, so even if you feel you can't last all day Friday, you can always come back another day for free during your trip. I also notice that the park tickets link on this website currently have a special offer - Buy 1 day get 6 consecutive days free! Not sure if this will be valid for your date of travel but we'll certainly be taking advantage of it for our own forthcoming trip in August. Can't wait!
Animal Kingdom would also be a good bet especially if you are up very early that first morning. Head straight for the safari as you will see more animals earlier in the day. I believe that if you do the character breakfast there, you can get into the park earlier than it opens to the general public.
The swim on night of arrival sounds a great idea - we'll give that a try ourselves this trip.
