Jill and Pat, i can only echo what Julie has said but can i add that staying the same is NOT a bad thing[msneek] consider it practice for being at target[msnwink]

Pat, i go in march on the 17th, when are you booked for?

my consultant has baskets with empty boxes, packets and tins of free and low syn foods on both red and green days, members take them in and she keeps them to give others ideas for when they need quick and easy meal ideas, if you don't have anything like this at class then suggest it to the consultant and perhaps they can get something similar organised

we also have food taster nights where we all bring along something we've cooked to share with the rest of the class and the're always great for picking up new recipes and tips

now come on Julie, one slice of wholemeal bread and jam does not constitute as naughty, i would be thinking more along the lines of a full giant bar of galaxy[msnembarrased]

you've got to remember that you are very close to target, once at target they are going to up the healthy B choices to help you maintain the weight loss so all you've really had was one extra healthy b and probably 1.5syns for the jam, now that's hardly naughty[msnsmile]

now i can do naughty with style mrs[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]

i've been a little naughty but not with food, i've had sneaky peek on the scales and all i will say is this[msnsmile2]

Morning all, busy day so far, managed to dodge the rain when I walked the hounds, which was just as good as airhead here managed to leave her anorak at home and only had huge golfing umbrella to go with the wellies - I thought I'd risk it and leave the brolly in the car.

Goes without saying when I went upstairs to put my glad rags on for work junior muddy dog followed me upstairs and hopped on my bed while I was in the bathrooms[msnmad]. Now I have long ago given up with white duvet covers but even so, they were clean on 2 days ago and will now need to go in again. National Trust land is a mudbath once it starts raining - positive thoughts about how good it is a) for keeping fit and b) complextion[msnwink].

Porridge for brekkies, about to have lunch of bulghar wheat & broad beans (just had a slip up girls and put in brad - no no thinking of the lovely Mr Pitt!) in lime juice with salad and hard boiled egg. Likely to be takeaway chinese for supper so being good the rest of the day.

Half term for YD as from this evening, she is off to some concert tomorrow night and wants to stay at a friends tonight, ED is at the boyfriends so might me a nice night on our own. Much as I love them dearly it is very pleasant to eat what we want (meat or fish for a start!) and only have ourselves to clear up after. Back to the hospital on Monday with ED for a looksee at the ear and removal of packing. We should find out when we are seeing consultant again (hopefully following week) for the results of the biopsy.

However, DH has banned YD from staying out all night since she came back at 11.00pm (with no contact I might add all day - no answer of mobile phone WHICH WE PROVIDE & PAY FOR!) the next evening and was then knackered for days, cue stroppy behaviour when remonstrated with. So between them I am no doubt in for a fun evening!

Do you know there are times when living in a convent sounds appealing?[msnwink] You'd think I'd know better after 8 years a convent boarding school.

    Have a good one ladies.

Welcome back Alison pleased the break went well .We are off early dec for 8 days so looking forward to that and it is the thought of a 'holiday' that is keeping me going even though I had a big blip last week .

Fiona aren't teenagers lovely with all the grief they cause sometimes .

Have managed to stay reatively on track the last 2 days despite going out to lunch and a wake today .Feel pleased with myself that I bypassed the absolutely gorgeous home made cakes today but did succomb to bit of trifle yesterday although it was mainly the jelly and not the cream.

Gong to make the seafood pasta in the calendar for supper as I am going green this week .
    Have a good weekend all.

Thanks Girls for all of your encouragement.

Been a very hard and stressful week-and it's just too easy to reach for the things I like as opposed to the things I need in order to shift this excees weight.

Haven't been too bad-but can try harder is the saying.

Today I had an apple for breakfast.

    Went to Y V O N N E 's and had a piece of very nice choccy cake.

Piece of chicken for lunch-well was full from choccy cake.

Just had a light chicken salad for earlt tea-then will have big supper later. Had a teeensy bit of coleslaw with chicken-so dry-and 2 pieces of cheese-so probably blown it for today.

Good luck to everyone-must get shopping and sort my head out if I don't want to waste thesed days.

    (so much harder this time.)

Alison i'm sure you can build all of the above into a good healthy eating plan

this is how i would swap it, let me know what you think?

first i'd have a bigger brekkie maybe the apple but with some cereal like weetabix or porridge

chicken is great for lunch but i would have popped it with a bag of stir fry veg from asda and added a little soy sauce or you could have had a salad or just tradional veg with it

and why not a healthy alternative to a ploughmans for tea, cooked chicken, perhaps some ham, boiled egg and some cheese from allowance, salad and pickled veg plus a little coleslaw on the side using your syns it's about 2.5-3syns

then you could have a small slice of choccie cake but built into your day and not as a substitute to a main meal

i would say that you probably don't eat enough and that leaves you hungry and vulnerable to making those not so good for me choices[msnsmile]

mizzy we go on the 24th feb and return on the 10th march so our paths will not cross, i have started to write food down on a food diary i always seem to do better when i do that, with the best will in the world just trying to remember from day to day what i eat it doesnt work properly for me, if i feel im going on a binge ill certainly give a cry of help, yes mizzy our consultant does the same with loads of pkts and such with all the syn value on them and we had a taster night 2 weeks ago i was stuffed when i came out, i wouldnt like to say how many times we have said to each other when there is all this lovely food in front of us why do we still feel the need to cheat, for me its because sometimes its laziness because i cant be bothered to cook and go for something easy. i feel a bit like that at the moment i havent been very well and its affecting my sleep so im just tired all the time and have to force myself to do anything, but i have lost for 3 weeks and stayed the same this week so im determined i wont give in, speak to you soon pat

I've been doing OK this week, I know what you mean about the diary Mizzy I find it much easier when I write everything down.

I won't be going to my class on Monday as we are off to The Lakes tommorrow we'll probably come home on Thursday morning as it will be my neices 2nd birthday.
I'm really looking forward to it but not looking forward to having no internet access.
