There you are Julie I was so eager to tell you all how I got on I didn't think .
I feel as if I have eaten enough probably more than I would have done before if I were honest but the thing I find hard is the syns .I am not a chocolate eater or a crisp lover so sometimes find it hard to have any syns apart from yogurts
Well done Janny, that is great, a steady loss like that and it will soon all be off!
Hope you are feeling better soon Jill, try some echinacea, wonderful for all things throat / cold / chest etc related I find. Also a little steaming whisky & lemon and honey don't go amiss either[msnwink]. And if nothing else mean you sleep through the night!
I maligned my friend, supper was prawns with couscous, green salad and a put of meringue, raspberries & blackberries and creme fraiche. She had the same op as me 6 years ago now as she had hers done the same time as her mastectomy. I think I now know more than I needed to about what they actually do and the recovery. I am more along the lines of don't go there, and don't think about it!
Big meeting tomorrow morning at work and then 3.00pm at the hospital, so am off to bed.
What a luxury to be able to ready my emails and check in on here whenever I want! Good luck anyone being weighed tomorrow.
Morning everyone,
Hope you're all ok.
Jill, I hope you're colds not too bad.
Good luck with your ED's appt today, we're all thinking of you.[grouphug]
Well done on the loss Janny[clap][clap] its a great feeling isn't it? Well done also to everyone else that has lost [clap][clap].
Well, I finally plucked up the courage to get on the scales after far too long of burying my head in the sand and feeling like I'd put on loads, and I'm only 1lb heavier than at the beginning of the holidays, so I'm a very happy bunny[msnsmile2][msnsmile2].
DH is off work this week so I tend to stick to things more when he's around to avoid his dissaproving glances[msnwink].
Also, went to Costco tuesday so I'm fully stocked up with all the right food again and raring to go. I haven't been really bad anyway but too many bad things creep in to the diet when you're not concentrating on it properly. Exercise has been sadly lacking unfortunately but that will come back next week when the children are back at school.
Hope you all have a good day, check in soon,
Julie B
Good morning everyone
Jill hope you feel well enough for tonight and good luck for the slimmer of the year vote[clap]
Julie B, i know exectly how you feel at the minute i'm only 1lb heavier thanat the begining, raring to go now though, i'm so determined that i'm going to have a 100% week this week to give myself that push
Janny the syns where developed because so many eating plans fail because they restrict food with a can't have or must never eat that attitude, the idea with SW was to make a lifetime eating plan that works because it doeasn't exclude any foods but helps us to make better food choices and limit the bad choices
the idea is that we all want to lose weigh but we don't want to give up our favourite foods and like you say for some it's chocolate for others its crisps or alcohol and with slimming world you don't have to give up anything and most importantly you don't have to go hungry which is why it works
they where being rather tongue in cheek when they decided to call them syns, i remember class members being asked their opinion on the word syns and if it should be changed quite a few years ago
you could use your syns on extra healthy B foods included in a green day perhaps some extra meat and on a red day say extra pasta, you can also use your syns for extra bread, cheese, sauces, gravy etc
hope this helps
Marie
Morning all, had a lie in[msnembarrased] off to do my treadmill before its too late and the day takes over[sporty][sporty][sporty][sporty]
Catch you ll later[msnwink]
P.S I am the same weight as I was at the end of July[msnsmile]
Hi – I’ve got some time for a quick catch up.
Mizzy – I am sure you will have lost your pound gain already. Hope the party plans are coming along well?
Julie, you may be right I perhaps do need to maintain my weight now rather than be expecting to lose much more. But you know how it is – I still think I’m 25 [msnoo] and want to weigh the same as I did then. If I can be disciplined enough to have a really good two or three weeks food wise and see what happens at the end of it – if I’m not losing then perhaps my body is telling me this is as little as I’m meant to be now
Sharon, Jackie hope you don’t get too much rain off Ernesto and that the sun shines for you [8D]
Sharon I hope you are eating lots of lovely food – as I’m already looking forward to you telling us about it [msntongue] [msnwink]
Jackie, how’s your mouth? Hope it’s not stopping you eating what you want [msnwink]
Paula, [grouphug] for you – hope you’re feeling a bit happier?
Jill, hope you feel better today and Janny [clap] well done on your loss [msnwink]
I'm sure to have missed someone [msnembarrased] sorry if it's you [msnwink]
