    Paula, give your friend a big[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug]. I remember all too well what it was like when my mother died. All really need your friends, more than your family.

    Sharon, your recipes for the chicken sound delicious, will give one of them a try over the weekend.

    Julie, as always just reading your exercise routine wears me out. I am going to stick to my walking, tennis and badminton with a few toning exercises.

    I felt very pleased with myself yesterday, had four people say to me how good I looked with the weight loss and wanting to know how I did it. I'm not sure how weigh-in tonight will go after all the alcohol last week. Still you never know, they were my only sins.

    Fiona, give me a ring if you haven't got a kitten(s) yet. There are some at the Ark coming up for adoption soon.

    some good news there for Sharon.

    Not doing much diet wise-except pushing the self destruct button.

    Had a very, very stressful week and that awful weather didn't help.

    It was great to meet Mizzy yesterday-highpoint of my week really.

    Away to Dorset tomorrow-so dietwise -won't be brilliant

    Mizzy, the chicken sounds good, will give that a go one day, always looking for something new to make.

    Children are driving me up the wall with boredom[msnmad].

    Off for the day to London on Saturday and will take another picnic so that I don't go off the track.

    Afternoon Ladies.

    It was weigh in for me this morning and I have lost 8lB. Really pleased with the result as this has given me a kick start I needed. 4 days off now and back on the diet on Monday.

    Paula I am sorry to hear the news about your friends Mum, will be thinking of you all.

    Alison, sorry to hear things are not going well for you at the moment, perhaps you can start again when you return from Dorset.

    Your Chicken recipes sound delicious Julieanne.

    Janice, 8lbs is great but if its lost over a short period of time by not eating very much then a fair amount of it will be water loss - sorry!

    If we reduce weight too rapidly, our body thinks there's a famine and slows down our metabolism. Then our weight loss stops. Then we binge! The moral? Rapid weight reduction has its limits.

    You beat me to be Julie, Janice don't be surprised if some of it goes back on immediately you start eating more. The BHF diet is great if you need to lose a lot for a special occasion, fit into a dress etc.

    Wow 8lbs is a huge loss in 1 week. Have a good weekend Janice and then back on track next week. It's similar to when I did Atkins, 10lbs in first 2 weeks and 1½ stone in 6 weeks, of course when I started eating normally it all crept back on.

    Alison just try and be careful over your week away, are you setting yourself too high a daily target and therefore setting yourself up to fail - easily done, been there and got the t-shirt.

    Try and think positive and work on that along with meal planning and everything else will fall into place. Have awful issues going on with our business at the moment which I won't go into but it certainly is enough to send one straight to chocolate. We don't have any in the house and I am putting off going to Waitrose because I know what I will do!!

    Hi Julie and Jill, yes your right, the first week you do lose alot of water. Next week I am not expecting to lose anything like I have done this week. I know I will put 2 or 3 pounds on in the next 4 days, but I am drinking 3 litres of water a day and went for a 45 minute walk today, so hoping I will not do too much damage by Monday.
