Sharon, hope Harry is on the mend, that must have been terrifying for you. Well done Karen for the weight loss.

Greetings from a very sunny florida[msncool]. Been v busy since we got here, had a great flight out (thanks BA), I got us here from the airport without getting lost - some achievement for me let me tell you, and we have filled the fridge and freezer up with food. No cakes and sweets but we did succumb to ice cream and nuts!

DH arrives Sunday so have to keep the day clear for that, today we hit Millennia, tomorrow we do the fun stuff like the bank, home depot etc and Saturday we go to the coast to watch the launch - so missing England play!

Been fairly good foodwise but today we will the Cheesecake Factory ... salads all round I think and we have never managed to have a pud as the helpings are so humungous!

Have a good day everyone, I shall think of you as I laze by the pool (sorry should have said go for a jog but somehow I don't think you will believe me!!)

Well done Sharon on the weight loss.

Sharon G, sorry to hear about little Harry and hope he is feeling much better now.

Alison, if you have not cheated I am sure you will have lost some weight. Keep up the good work.

Fiona, Glad to hear that you arrived safely and didnt get lost. I was paranoid that I would get lost when I went over in February with my 10 year old daughter, so I was really pleased with myself that I didnt.[msnsmile] I would have believed you if you had said you were going for a jog, honestly[msnwink][msnwink] Enjoy yourself and dont spend too much time in home depot!

Good luck Jill and Sally for your weighins.

    Karen

Hi Sharon, hope Harry is getting better[grouphug] Both my lads had febrile convulsions until upto the age of five, I know how frightening they are to watch, as Mizzy said, keep a fan in his room and dose him with Calpol or Nurofen, Calpol worked on my eldest and Nurofen on the youngest[msneek]. Hope he feels better soon, try not to worry, I know it is hard not to, just keep an eye on him.[grouphug]

    ...no breakfast for me....
...had an awful morning. Just got back from the Accident and emergency. Little Harry, our youngest son had a febrile Convulsion in the early hours of this morning. Basically I heard him making a funny noise, went into check and he was face down in his pillow having this convultion. Then unable to wake up...awful and so very frightening. Anyway, emergency ambulance out after ringing the NHS helpline! taken to hospital. He started to come around in the ambulance and now (hopefully)is alright.
Apparently this is quite common in young children upto the age of 5 and is basically caused by a rapid increase in body temperature!...I never knew this. Got him home with me now and have to watch him closely for the next 48 hours....fingers crossed

Sharon I have been through this with my ES who is 22 next month he was 1 at the time, we were in Spain it was very hot and he got a bug from the pool water that sent his temp through the roof and he had the convulsion, it was so scary, luckily they had a fab walk in emerg clinic nearby and they gave him antibiotics to attack the bug and lots of calpol to bring the temp down, we have to bathe him in cool water, keep the fan on him and keep an eye on him too, hope Harry feels better soon[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug]

Today was a day off for our little ones so DH took us to Pizza Express for lunch[msneek]

    I had ............

    Pollo Verdure NEW
A warm feast of torn chicken and chargrilled Italian vegetables with our Sicilian lemon and watercress dressing, tossed with rocket and baby spinach, then drizzled with balsamic syrup, served with baked dough sticks and a wedge of lemon £7.95

    Only ate 1 dough stick[msnwink]

not sure what the SW experts will think re syns if Im having a red day???

then we went to M & S and they bought cherry and almond fresh baked bakewell tarts and I had half of one, it was absolutely devine[msntongue]

Got some chicken and salad for my tea, but would welcome some ideas of how I count today - Mizzy?????
