That was disgusting, I have a thing about pigs, they are so cute, and it really upset me. It was barbaric!

Thanks for words of encouragement Mizzy! I will do as you do - and build treats in for the end of the day.... I just need to plan better...(!) and get my act together (!) Difficult though - once I get a taste of something, I find it difficult to stop! Will do my best though...

    [msnembarrased]

Alison - can you plan to have just a couple of toffee/chocs at the end of the day too? or are you like me and find it difficult to stop once you have started?

    Julie and Karen

i closed my eyes for the little piggies bit, now i know whay i buy meat that is either organic and expensive from the supermarket or from a local farmer when he has it available[msnsad]

Les, have you had a go at downloading the 7 day menu from the SW website? , it may be worth a look and i cannot begin to tell you how much fantastic support is available from joining a class [clap][clap][clap]

Well I am not doing so well, I seem to have gone all wrong[msnscared]

I just can't seem to plan any meals at the moment, mixture of the children being home and the hot weather.

Peter tried to help me tonight for tomorrow and we went off to Asda came out with loads of shopping but forgot tomorrows dinner, back to the shops tomorrow.

Not looking very good for weigh in tomorrow[msnsad]

fingers crossed Sally it may be ok[grouphug]

i know the lack of planning and lazy choices have been my downfall these past two weeks
like you said the children are off and everything becomes much harder because the demands on our already stretched time becomes much worse

i'm going for a "keeping it all together approach" by focusing on maintaining the weight loss over the next 6 weeks and any further losses will be seen as a bonus

it seems to be the more positive and sensible option for me to take at the minute, much better than throwing in the towel and getting to september only to find a massive gain

good luck with the weigh in

your right Julie, lots of people at my class eat way off track and they still lose weight, some people have a pattern where any excess doesn't show on the scales until the following week, sadly i'm not one of those people[msnsad] i show any excesses the very next day[msncry]

good luck Sally and remember what we talked about last night, stay positive[grouphug]

dh has day off and he's just taken the children to the park to run off some energy, the little chap has been awake and full of it since 5.05am[msneek]

it means i can breathe easy for a little while and enjoy my brekkie in peace

Mizzy sounds like a plan of damage limitation and is likely to work! I find the hot weather means I put on weight - whether it is I am drinking more (certainly not eating more, as not eating much), retaining fluid or what, but I often put on in the heat - doesn't seem logical does it.

    yesterdays meals
    porridge (1oz), skimmed milk
4 cups black tea with lemon
    numerous glasses of iced water
prawns in a tomato dressing on a bed of spinach
couscous with courgettes, sun-dried toms, beans & feta cheese with a lime dressing
fresh strawberries (no I didn't have the cream)
½ glass of rose (this was all at my sister's)
    banana
mackeral, green salad with artichokes, lettuce, cucumber & onion
    piece of frittata
2 glasses of sparkling rose (DH thought I might like some - told him was a lovely thought and I did enjoy it but no more please until I am back on track!)

Today I am going to follow some of the recipes from SW mags, so am making up a week's shopping list and hot footing it to Waitrose.[angel]

Porridge & black tea so far and I have refused the freshly cooked chocolate twist that YD has left for me.

Have a good day gals, my washing is calling me - going to wash the bedding and towels today, oh yipee, and then off in the afternoon for coffee with my daughter's ex-nanny, who now has a 6 month old baby.

This hot weather in the U.K. is really working in favour of my 'pre-holiday slim down'. I find myself in the supermarket thinking "What will we have with our salad for tea today?"
I've lost 4 pounds this week!
