    Hi everyone

Julie [grouphug] don't worry about it, you've got a lot on at the moment and it may just be your weight settling or water retention, i know you and you don't eat that many goodies[msnwink]

Kazzie, well done staying the same is always good, it's practice for being at target, push on with a nice positive frame of mind and you will lose next week[msnsmile]

Pat, i do know about the countdowns with the extra free weeks, i'm on one now! i started out wanting to lose about 5 stone and to date i've lost 3 so i'm 3/5ths of the way there, i'm not bothered how long it takes, the scenic route may be slower than the fast lane but you enjoy it more and get some lovely stop offs along the way[msnsmile2]

Jill, i can totally empathise with you on the mil front, mine wore black to all three of her sons weddings and she denied our childrens disabilty diagnosis with a quip that there's never been any of this before in her family, so it must be from my side, i think until recently she thought i imagined the childrens problems and it's only now with her other grandchildren growing up and moving into their own that she will grudgingly accept the fact that she has two disabled grandchildren[msnmad][msnmad][msnmad] we visit once a week and i smile sweetly and let it all wash over my head, she is simply not worth it, my husband made it quite clear to her years ago that we come first[msnsmile]

Hi all, spent most of the day at hospital - had one appointment at Wexham for 1.30 and then had to hot foot it up the M40 to the Radcliffe. Good news, no need for any dental surgery, she has beautiful teeth in excellent condition. Then saw ENT surgeon, again very pleased with everything, and handed us over to the oncologist until 4 weeks after it is all finished. Hospital appointment at Mount Vernon for more mask fitting / making Wed and Thurs. Have given up driving my 4x4 (petrol) and swapped with DH and now driving the diesel car as otherwise costing us a fortune.

We need some help with eating in the hospitals. V difficult to eat in the waiting room areas, and all the canteens are not exactly full of the most saintly of food. If we are lucky there is bowl of soup we like or jacket pots, most of the time is grab a cup of tea and cake / bar of choccy to sustain us through the boring waiting times. Am reading loads though - thinking of taking my cross stitch with me - I might get that cushion cover I started making when I was pregnant with Catriona!![msnwink]

So after all this eating it was no surprise that I had stayed the same, shows I must have been doing something right the rest of the time.

We have stocked up on tons of fresh veg / fruit and veggie/fruit drinks, which I do take with me. Am going to get some organic bread (really should make it but there is a limit to what I realistically am going to do at the moment) and make sarnies, even if we have to eat them in the car.

Well the rest of you are having horrible times with your families. Rise above it all ladies, don't take any notice of the spiteful behaviour, life is too short for all of this. Tell yourself they are poisonous old / stupid young things who don't have a life.

We also seem to be having a slight bleep on the weight loss front, ok let's try and have a good week from now on, banish the [easter1] munchies, take more exercise, follow the meal plan, but perhaps the most important thing - PLAN. I say this to myself every week and by the weekend it is all out of the window, so this is certainly a case of do as I say and not as I do!!

Theresa where are you? Have I missed a posting following the big date, we want all the gory details[chatter]. Seriously hope it went well and keep going with the SW diet.

This week's password - Walking. Something I am going to try and do more of, an extra 10/15 mins in the morning to make up for no evening one now.

    Fiona

Hello girls (where are you all??), successful visit today and not too long[clap]. Mask is all made and fits, tomorrow they do the trial run to test they are marking the right places rather than tatoo her.

We also went to the McMillan Centre, they have counselors, tons of books, helpful info etc. and as well as coming out laden with leaflets and website addresses, they directed us to Patient Information who have give us a form to complete to claim for petrol and prescriptions. As you can imagine on a student income of student loan, overdraft & the bank of mum and dad, a 30 mile a day round trip is going to make serious inroads into her money. So she can claim £8.90 a day which should cover the cost of a tank of petrol for the week, luckily she does have a diesel car.

Arrived early for our appointment to have lunch in the canteen, had jacket pot, beans & cheese, but fell at the wayside and shared a packet of rolos when we had one of the many cups of tea during the time we were there!

Evening all, well I have really fallen off the wagon today, felt very down in the dumps and succombed to the chocolate and ate far too much, am now feeling very guility. Not the way to keep to target as I also have had too many other things. I have tried to make slight amends with two long walks and will try to do the same tomorrow before weigh-in.

Not a very good start, I'm in the corner before anyone sends me there. [V][msnsad]

im afraid ive had a bad day i have hardly eaten anything as im so upset worried and angry all rolled into one, we own a villa in florida and have just received our tax bill for next year its gone up from $830 to $3520 we cant believe it as we dont quite know where the money is going to come from unless we use our retirement fund and as everyone keeps saying its a real bad time to sell so we could end up losing a lot of money, BUT its only money and compared to some on here its trivial as we have a decent level of health. so i will try and get back to normal tomorrow. by the way julie i noticed you were helping a friend to sell her villa if you dont mind me asking did she sell it and did she get anywhere near what she had hoped pat

Right ladies as the resident soon to be consultant on here you have not blown it or fallen off the wagon so please don't think that, count what you have eaten as flexible syns and go back to normal asap, don't try to catch up, it will make matters worse, just go back to food optimising and have your normal amount of syns and carry on[msnwink]

Pat my friend did sell her villa, they got more than than paid for it so they were happy, but the bills were crippling them so they are very relieved they have now sold[msnwink]

I have not had a perfect day today myself I have had too many healthy a's in the form of two extra latte coffees, and a very thin slither of madiera cake - oh but the toffee and pecan HiFi bar is yummy, and yesterday I tried the cherry and almond and it too was very yummy[msntongue][msntongue]

Fiona sounds like you are coping very well indeed, like you say lunch was good and as I said to the others Rolos are some very flexible syns[msnwink]

Mizzy hope you are OK now after your chat with the school[grouphug]

    Hello everyone,

My turn to apologise[msnembarrased], sorry for not being around at the moment but things are rather hectic here and I dont seem to have enough hours in each day. I cant beleive we are in November already, where has this year gone!!???[msneek]

Well my eating has really gone to pot and I darn't get back on the scales at the moment. I'm eating on the go and too late in the evening ( because thats the first chance to eat with my DH) I even admit that I have been having too many "odd" glasses of wine, just to help me chill out at the end of each day.

Pat, I know what you mean about the tax bill[msncry][msncry]...ours was $4640 for this year !! A rise of over $1300 from last year[msncry], this did put me off my food (for a short time!![msnwink])
Chin up lady, think of your wonderful villa and your next holiday there.

Julie, Well done on the exams[clap][clap] keep up the good work.

Mizzy.....I need to come on some of your long walks, I thinks!!![msnwink][msnsmile2]

Anyway, onwards and upwards as they say..........and only 46 shopping days left till Christmas (aren't I sad!!!?)...oh, My MIL told me
    Sharon
