Everything went fine at the hospital[msnsmile2]. The worst bit was battling my way through the traffic in and out of Portsmouth for a 8.10am appointment. Had a scan and another one, not so nice[msnembarrased]. Small fibroids and something like a pollock[?], but nothing to worry about and to go off and have a good holiday and see my doctor when I return.

Took the dog out when I got home but it was thundering and lightening, which he hates and he made a bolt for the car. Managed to get hold of him but he is so strong and pulled me and yes I landed flat on my fact in the wet mud[msnembarrased].

good to hear that there's nothing too serious after your scan Sally, now you can concentrate on having a really good time on your jollies[msnsmile2]

i've had a pretty traumatic tea time to be honest, the long and short of it is that someone at my sons school put him at risk and he had a near miss with a car during cycling proficiency[msnmad]

they sent him out without the agreed one to one support and with instructors that have not got even the basic understanding of meeting his needs and without a risk assessment that covers a child like James, who made these decisions?, well that, i'm still waiting to discover

i've kept my cool and calmly demanded explanations when i really feel like screaming[msnmad]

Still busy looking around High schools for Melanie, having a look at the last one tomorrow before we make a final decision. Havnt had a lot of time for the forum so havnt kept up with everybody's news. Hope you are all doing well.

Thinking about you Fiona and hope all is going well for your daughter.

Lost half a lb at last night's weigh in so better than a gain.

Will try my best to catch up with all the news from everybody on Friday when I may get a moment to myself[msnwink]

Karen I know exactly how you feel. We are still looking around schools but I think we're getting to the all important preference point now.
As I've never done this secondary school application process before it's difficult to know exactly what to include in your application.
I've been advised to set it out in bullet points as much as possible......does this mean short to the point paragraphs??????????

I've not had much time on the forum but I did go for my weigh in on Monday and lost 2lb.

well done Kazzie, Paula and Janny, lots of big losers this week[msnwink][clap][clap][clap]

i'm trying my best but on the while not sure if i'm winning or not

i'm still angry and upset from yesteday, just had long chat with the course instructor and he's promised to get to the bottom of things, he has apologised for the incident and said that he would never have dreamed of taking my child onto to open road had he been fully informed of his difficulties, so looks like the school are at fault, will have to wait for them to come back to me now[msnmad]

Oh Mizzy I hope you get some answers [msnmad]
Well done for staying calm [clap]

[clap] [clap] to all the losers this week.
Well I have been so good that I think I will jump on the scales again in the morning rather than wait till next week. I will be so disappointed if I haven't lost at least a little [msnscared]

Hello all, and well done to the losers! Janny you are going to be wafer thin soon[clap].

Mizzy well done for staying so calm, but what a dreadful situation. I presume the instructors are all volunteers? At my daughters schools it was other mums. I can just imagine how easy it is for any of the children to almost have an accident, as they come wobbling round our road as we live in a quiet lane.

I have been lavishly wined and dined for the last 2 nights so I am dreading get on the scales. Back on course this evening apart from a large pinot grigio.

Thanks for all your good wishes. ED is back home, discharged at lunchtime, a bit early if you ask me after being out for 8+ hours, as she has been violently ill here, but she was in a ward with 5 men so not v happy! Looks like still a likelihood of more surgery, and we have more results to wait for. Surgeon is off on hols for 2 weeks tomorrow pm so will have a meet after that, and hopefully know more then.
    Fiona
