So here it is better late than never...Thank you to all your replies on the previous post, and to the requests for 'The Duck' photo's. However I have been informed on pain of death, NOT to place any pics on the site that may incriminate him. [B)]
MONDAY Week two....
NO CAR, sniff sniff, we only hired a car for the week, and this week it's down to the I-ride, taxis, shuttle buses and shanks' pony! [msnscared]
As we were at the wet and wild end of Universal Boulevard, and close to Universal Studios we decided to concentrate on the five park flex ticket part of the holiday! First up Islands of Adventure, and boy was it a hot day! I had religiously packed my little bag with a complete change of clothes......yes I know get into the spirit of things......but I have a nasty habit of attracting water. Even if it's a 'dry' ride and there is just a little squirt that's shot across the bows of your ride car....I get it full in the face! So much so that MOH tried offering me out to other families who were lined up on a 'No wet no fee basis'!
We started on the Tower of Doom as there was a wait on the Hulk. Now we went to America with MOH saying..."I wanna go on everything...." Great! I thought I'm a go on everything (except Mission Space and Teacup's) kinda girl, so I'll start him off with a teaser..........he screamed like a little girl and looked green around the gills!!![xx(]
Onwards and upwards then....Spiderman...now I think I mentioned on the previous post that the parks were rather full of school kids on their field trips (whatever happened to Museums etc?!) Well we managed to be behind a screaming bunch of teenage girls during the queuing section and rather hoped they would be in another car during the ride itself...they weren't, they screamed, and screamed and screamed, even when we were going in a straight line! [msneek] We both got off with ringing in our ears and a compulsion to twitch every three or four seconds!
We bimbled round to Jurrasic park, took in the dino building bit as it was air conned! and then onto the Poseidon show. I love this one and MOH thought it was fantastic. We particularly love the bit where the water, well you know, I won't give it away for those who don't! The guy who was doing the acting was wonderful, put his heart and soul into it and had me convinced, not easy being a cynical old bird!
[:I]
Sadly Fire and Ice were closed during the week and only open Friday and Saturday, so I couldn't get MOH in the "OK mush try this ride one after the other" line. Shame really, would have like to see the reaction! [:P]
Seuss landing was being re-painted, you could really see where the colours had faded in the sun, and they were also doing work on a couple of rides...and there we were back to the Hulk. All in about 3hrs...........
Yeah ok we planned round two for after lunch where we decided to take in all the water rides in one go and then change clothes.[msnwink]
First off was the Hulk, boy I love his ride, and I loved the reaction of MOH when you trundle up the hill at the beginning...ops there I go again!
We got completely soaked on the water rides but had the best fun. And it was nice to be able to dry off afterwards. We took in Spiderman and a few other rides again and headed off for a quiet night in, completely pooped.
TUESDAY
Shopping, shopping shopping oh and some more shopping! We caught the I-ride trolley down to the Premium Outlet and spent loads! [msnembarrased]
That evening we went back down I-drive to the Titanic experience and went to the last show of the day. I have to say it was great. There were only 8-10 of us on the tour which was a great number. I don't usually opt for tours as I like to bimble along on my own, but the option for going 'guide-less' meant you went around the exhibition backwards!!So I relented and I wasn't dissappointed. The guide was excellent he told you enough and then let you be to wander around each section in your own time. There were some really good ideas to let you get a feel for what the passengers went through, that I won't
