    Best Restaurants for Coeliacs

I'm compiling a list of Gluten free restaurants for our next trip. As Gluten free food can sometimes be a little bland, has anyone with coeliac disease had something truly remarkable at a gluten free restaurant? We have eaten at a few that have gluten free menus but are looking out for something that is just that bit extra special.

    Thanks

Villa de Flora at Gaylord Palms has a very nice buffet. The chef came out and told us what was OK.

Outback do a fab gltuen free pudding - Chocolate Thunder from Downunder. They have a gluten free menu on their website.

Manny's chop house is also on our list of favourites, as is UNO.

Chevy's is also good, as they have corn tortillas if you ask.

We haven't eaten in Disney, but heard they bend over backwards if you book in advance.

You will eat well in Orlando.Enjoy!

If you have any allergy at all Disney do an excellent job at all of there restaurants. It can help if you book in advance but you do not have to, though this may limit your choice.

My wife has a very unusual allergy to the oil from one specific Caribbean nut, however it can be used in anything from bread to ice cream. Whenever we eat in a Disney restaurant the server will ask if anyone has an allergy and we hand over the piece of paper with the details.

It is now Disney policy that the chef has to come out and see the person to understand what is needed and this is a great improvement on what just to happen 5 years ago.

It helps to know all you can about where your allergic product can be used but I would encourage anyone to try Disney new approach to this problem.
