Pirates of the Caribbean - Upgrade?

Re: an earlier post, does anyone know if the ride has been updated yet?

If it has, what is it like now?

Looking forward to trying the new version later this year[clap][clap][clap]

Our son is trying to twist his dad's arm to take him along to the new film. Don't think he'll take much persuading.[msnwink]

The new upgrade is suppost to be excellent..As Captain Sparrow and Davey Jones have entered the picture. I havent had a bad report yet but will be experiencing it myself in a matter of days [msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

It has only been updated very slightly, Captain Jack Sparrow appears a few times but not much else has changed.

We did this last week and since it was the first time we had done it, I have nothing to compare with. It was good, a sedate boat ride with one brief drop!! Jack Sparrow appeared 3 or 4 times I think, he pops up in unusual places and you have to look for him. He looks spookily lifelike, perhaps Johnny Depp has slathered the foundation on with a trowel in the film! It was packed when we went, so unless you get there early, get a fastpass. I imagine its popularity is as a result of the film. Definitely worth a visit.

So between Paris and Florida, those who have tried both, which do you prefer?
