Flew over the launch pad last night complete with shuttle on the flight home, it caused quite a stir on the plane!

How fantastic I be it was an awesome sight. When we went on the close up tour last year they gave us a webiste to check in launches
www.spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata. lists all the forthcoming events as well as lots of other fascinating info.

If you want to see if you can spot either the ISS or Space shuttle when it goes you can check here

    http://www.space.com/spacewatch/0606..._spotting.html

The heavens above one is the one I sometimes check to see if it is in our area in Kent. We've seen the SPace station on it's own a couple of times and once with the Shuttle "chasing it"

Apparently until July 11th there is quite a good chance of spotting them in the US dependant on weather of course.

For those in the Davenport area this is the visible passes for the ISS next few days, the Shuttle will take approx 44 hours to catch up with the ISS so you may see them both in a couple of days time.

I,ve just found out that the English Astronaut who is on the shuttle is from a place called Mytholmroyd, his parents still live there. I was born and raised in Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire. Small world heh.

What an amazing sight even on TV as the shuttle lifted off. The next launch is due when we are out in Florida and I would love to go and watch it.
