    Weather??

We are due to arrive in Orlando on 4th July and I'm wondering what type of weather to expect? More importantly will we avoid the dreaded hurricane?

It will be lovely and warm, the sun will be shining, you may have the occasional rain shower in the afternoon which go as quickly as they come - very refreshing!
It is unlikely you will be affected by a hurricane, there were none at all in the Orlando area last year, and previous to 2004 it was many years (at least 30) ago that they had the one before.
Just go and have a wonderful time[msncool]

It is hot and humid, mid 90s day, mid 70s night. Many days you will get an afternoon thunderstom, though these are scattered and you may not get one at all. You cannot forecast hurricanes that far out. Last year we only got Wilma and that was just wet for a day or so, no really big winds.
Hurricanes are quite rare in Central Florida, if you go to the Keys or the Miami area you increase the risk but even so it is not high. If do we get one, they also tend to affect coastal places more than inland. Most hurricanes have lost their strength by the time they reach Orlando.
