virgin flights direct from manchester are £ 432 for an adult and £260 for children these are on the virgin atlantic website and are for the dates 1st sept - 31st oct

have you thought about signing up for virgin miles plus money?, if you have travelled with virgin you may have miles sat unclaimed, you need 2000 miles for a economy miles plus money fare and this would bring the cost down to £335 for an adult and £201 for a child

we boosted our miles earlier this year by switching our c.cards to virgin flying club ones, you earn 1 mile per £1 spend or 2 miles per £ spend if you pay an annual fee of £80 and you also get 4000 miles with your first purchase regardless of which card you choose

    hope this is helpful Mizzy

mizzy if thats what they are going for on the virgin web you should be able to get them cheaper or with a car for the same price .

be interesting to see what indirect prices come in at. how much saving for all that extra hassle??

oops missed that part about the flights being for next year[msnembarrased]

well at least that would give plenty of time to build up those miles

Trev those prices are for virgin atlantic flights only and they guarantee you won't find cheaper, virgin holidays offer fly drives but they are way overpriced

not convinced mizzy, we have looked on the virgin web before and bought a lot cheaper elsewhere.
sometimes they dont give you airmiles with the flight but if you are saving say £200 per flight then i cant see the point of paying a lot more just to get your air miles. i'm sure someone will know the math on it. mach 2 knows about the different classes and codes of same flight ticket etc

the other side of the coin is that once in the past we were told no miles at the airport then i contacted them 3 month later and got miles added
