This hasn't really changed for short haul flights, they have been done on a weight concept up to now. The allowance was 23kg (in as many bags as you like) and you would be charged per kg over that

I'm sure I was allowed 2 bags at 23kg when we flew to Spain.
OH thats a relief but what about Italy to Gatwick? will they charge for that flight?
