    delta airlines refreshments/meals

[msntongue]Hi I'm fliying with Delta for the first time, on the web site I looked at the list of refreshments and it only said snacks such as crispd and biscuits. Do they serve hot meals as well and are there charges for drinks during flights.[msntongue]

We flew delta a couple of years ago, we had hot meal out and a breakfast on way back as well, food ok, I can remember the hot meal being chicken and breakfast was a bagel with cream cheese or something[xx(] didn't like that, but other meals were ok as far as airline food goes. drinks we had to pay for. except tea and coffee when it was offered.
Sorry I'm not much help, it has been a couple of years now.

I flew Delta for the first time in April this year and the food was very good. We had a hot meal and also sandwiches on the way out and on the way back they served breakfast. I am not sure if they served a hotmail as I slept all the way back from and only woke up just in time for breakfast

All soft drinks are free of charge (coke, sprite, juices, water, coffee, tea etc.) and the cabin crew were always coming round offering drinks. If you want any alcholic drinks there is a charge.

    Hope this helps

I think that the website you are looking at is referring to domestic US economy class food service. I'm sure you will be served free hot meals on international flights.

When I flew with Delta the meals (one hot and one breakfast or afternoon snack)were very good. We were offered plenty of drinks too.

We have flown Delta several times and the food has always been quite good (as airline food goes). On the way out they offer a hot meal (pasta dish is usually quite tasty) and a light snack later on. Flying back there is a hot meal then breakfast before you land. If you log onto their site you can also order alternatives - vegetarian, kosher etc etc.

Coffee, tea and soft drinks are free but they charge for wines/spirits. They do come round quite often with drinks.

We have flown with Delta numerous times and food has been okay as flight meals go. They offer plenty of soft drinks which are free. If you want alcoholic drinks you do have to pay for them. We would have no hestitation for recommending them. One thing we do like is there is plenty of leg room.

Glad to hear that Barbara. We're flying with them for the first time on the 27th and I'm a bit worried about DH and DS15 who are both over 6 foot!

    thanks
