We have been in Orlando 2 weeks now, and the weather has been glorious, no big queues at the parks, not too humid and only 3 rain showers - fantastic[msncool]

We usually go to Florida in August, it is hot but not unbearable, we tend to go from one lot of air-conditioning to another, villa to car to shops to restaurants and home again. The parks are pretty good at cooling you down with sprays and they have air-conditioned shops and restaurants for a break from the sun.
My favourite time is first thing in the morning sitting out on the pool deck eating breakfast, great way to start the day.[msnsmile2]

We went in August for years - and then went to the med. My husband hated the fact he couldn't get out of the heat in the med. Even in the theme parks they have things like water mist showers to walk through to keep you cool. Go for it and have fun!

we have ususally been at Christmas or Easter, but are here now for the first time in August.
Yes , it is hot , but there is not that slightly chilly feeling that you get sometimes as you head off to the parks early. It's quite easy to cool down with a show or indoor attraction once it hots up. I'm very impressed with how effective the air con is in the shops and at the villa
The best bit for us is the parks are so much quieter than we are used to , so we are getting loads done in the morning, having a greta time in the pool at the villa in the afternoon , then heading back for the fireworks in the wammth of an evening too.
The water parks are a must too at this time of year
