    Who can help me pleez...?

    Hi!
I'm new on here; can somebody help me about this please? I'm planning right now a 5-day trip to Miami, FL and not only I'm looking for a less than 15usd for a stay in a hostel or even a motel but I'm also looking for a bookstore which could display my things... It's small, cute and written in french right now.[sporty]

I seriously doubt you'll find anywhere to stay in Miami (or anywhere in Florida) for that sort of price as Miami is one of the more expensive areas to stay.

As to the bookstore question, there are generally only large bookstores like Barnes & Noble and I'm not sure that they would be interested in your work, particularly if it's in French. You could try contacting them though to ask. www.barnesandnoble.com

Hey Blott for a while I thought you were a pal of mine who has nothing to do apart being mean and frustrated usually[V] (If it is you, Ro..., just send me an email!!!!)

But if you're a quiet and sympathetic surfer on here let me thank you for the info. Plus, it seemed to me that in Miami there are a french-speaking community, no?
However I found on the web prices in hostels but does it mean that MOTELS don't exist anymore?

Oh, merci ChrizzY100! Thanks for your info.
By the way, do you know how easy it is to display a french-written book in a miamian bookshop?

Wish I could help you there...but if its anything like in the UK...its just a case of asking owners....E-mail phoning etc....you don't want to leave it till you get there...in the UK even in the local Libraries...displays would take weeks to set up....small book shops maybe your best starting point...you should find names and numbers in an online local phone book...

Yes, I already tried... I found some and so if it takes weeks it makes sense but I posted this here in the hope of finding some ppl interested and tips (maybe sometimes from owners).[8D]

Some guests of ours stayed in the cheapest motel they could find in Miami (around $60 I think) and it was absolutely awful in every way!

Since your flights are not going to be cheap, why not squeeze the extra bit out and stay somewhere nice (particularly if you are are on your own;you need to be in a nice area)

I would think the larger bookshops buy centrally,so you would be looking for an individually owned one (are there any,I do not know) I do know that it is tough to walk into any shop and get them to buy anything

Good luck, you will enjoy Florida whatever

hostels are fun for someone traveling alone...you get to meet so many people if you share a dorm room...my mother in law and aunt use them all over the place and they are in their 60s...you always seem to get great kids staying from all over the world...I can't think of a better way to meet new people and travel on little money....its nothing like being in a cheap motel...
