Hi My partner has 2knee replacments
Sets the alarm off every time Tells them what it is $ shows them the scars Never been a problem, only in Egypt where they took him round the back & searched him We have never taken a doctors letter

My husband has a Titanium rod in his leg and has never set alarm of yet and im sure if it did go of the scars alone would show the extent of the injury.

My daughter has plates and screws in her leg. Never had problems... me on the other hand, damn underwire bra's can cause problems now and again [msnsmile2]

Jan sets off the scanner were ever we go - happens 99% of the time.

The only thing we can put it down to was some orthopaedic surgery on her knee she had as a child resulting in some metal pin installation. (She's now, well half way to a century).

She then gets additional screening by airport security with their little wand and passes every time -

never needed a note from a doctor.
