I don't think I can post their website - I think it gets edited out by the forum - search for flyWho

Yes, but if you go through to the next stage of booking then they will call you back within 24 hours ... mmmmhh ... don't think it is wort risking our Christmas holiday on.

It would be handy for us as Birmingham airport is as near to us as Manchester but with so many false starts I think we will stick with Manchester and Virgin as we know it's reliable and the flights we book will actually operate.

It's a shame as it does seem a good concept, but they have had such trouble getting it up and running is it doomed to fail because of lack of confidence? Then again they may throw some bargain offers at it to kick start it.

We have already been bitten by new start airline failure in the past - we were scheduled to fly with Duo when they collapsed a week before our flights (thankfully we at least had a week to go and weren't stranded by them - CC refunded the tickets eventually) - so it does make you cautious (one thing when travelling on business, but I would hate for it to ruin a family holiday).

The prices are still very expensive - the cheapest I could find was £550 in Jan 07 and by Feb were up to £650. + 2% surcharge for paying by credit card.

Also personally I hate flying to and from Sanford.

Having said that, judging by the people on this forum who feel Virgin PE is worth the money for the bit of extra room, it could be a success; however my money would bet against that happening.

Will wait until they get up and running before I commit to buying a ticket from them.

Same here Dom. We had booked with them the very first time around and got let down. Once bitten twice shy.
