Thinking of spending final week of holiday on Anna Mariah Island, could anyone tell me whether this would be good location or not for 3 ADULTS & 1 9YR OLD GIRL. Interested to know about it's beaches, shops, restaurants, entertainment etc

It depends what you want. If its peace & relaxation with beautiful beaches then it would be perfect. If you want to be a bit closer to restaurants, shops,golf etc then try Longboat Key. A short drive accross the bridge will take you to St Armands Circle or Sarasota with shops etc.
You can't go wrong anywhere down the Gulf Coast.
