Monday...
Breakfast at IHOP, after I managed to establish every egg, bread and pancake cooking scenario, it was lovely.
Fully stuffed we headed to our first park Magic Kingdom, after tackling the I4 and finding that the inside lane can suddenly run into an off slip with no prior warning![msnscared]
First major decision of the day boat or train? Tough I know, but MOH was off. It was so sweet to see a 29 year old grown man, mow down several small children whilst battling his way up the gang plank and heading to the bow for his leonardo moment!
At the Kingdom we did the the three mountains, and I was winning the "How many famous pepole can you spot?" competition, after I swear I saw Sean William somebody or another from those American Pie films, hamming it up with some brass band quartet in tomorrow land.
Carousel of progress had to be done, which left us humming the tune for the rest of the day; and the Hall of Presidents was cheered through (by the Americans I may add) during a sudden downpour.
During another tender moment it was lovely to see the tears well up in MOH eye's when he turned to me and said "I want my picture taken with the Duck". "I'm sorry darling?" I replied. "The Duck, I want my picture taken with The Duck"
Too choaked to say speak his whole name, I duely sent him to the queue of other 5 year olds, and told him to be nice to the others while he waited. Infact the photo of a 6ft man lined up with 2ft children is funnier than the pic with the duck! Bless!
I can't recall where we ate dinner, but I'm sure it was wonderful (can't recall a bad meal) and we headed off to bed.
Tuesday....
Water park day at Typhoon Lagoon, and we headed for a relaxing meander in Lazy River. After a wonderful 20 to 30 minutes or so of floating, MOH wanted some action on some more advanced rides, and the moment I gave everyone some advanced laughs. It aint easy to prise your backside out of one of those rings. However after an excellent beached whale impression, I waddled off with red lines around the back of my legs to some ride named after some crushed fruit.[msnscared]
The first of three sides seemed tame enough, but we were just queueing. At the top the nice young man said "lightest at the front please" I graciously stepped forward, and got into position, bumblingly followed by MOH who stuffed his feet through my armpits and shouted "wooo whooo bring it on" "not now darling you're making a scene" and with a jolt we were gone.
Ladies be warned....lightest at the front means very sore head when you reach the plunge pool at the bottom, because it will end up in between your other passengers backside and the pool bottom. Not pretty.[B)]
After the squished pineapple, the bashed Banana and the mashed melon enough was enough, and my head hurt! Still I could always try drowning in the wave pool!
We finished off the day with a saunter around Universal studios, caught the Mummy, Twister and Blues brothers, and headed for Hard Rock Cafe and dinner. I had some yummy Fahita's and MOH pushed the boat out with a burger!!!! ( I ask you, you go all that way.....!)We finished it off with a fantastic chocolate brownie, ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream dessert. To die for!
Wednesday....
Kennedy Space Center. Both REALLY looking forward to this and we were out the door early. Had breakie at Sizzler Just recalled that bad food moment, never again). This didn't dampen our spirits and headed off on the 528.
Sadly there were some forest fires burning whilst we were there, and around four homes were lost in Bravard County but thankfully no one was hurt.
At the junction with 528 and the I95, the 528 was closed off and we were directed off, by a very nice looking man from the sherrifs department. Ok I thought, keep calm, just look for the diversion signs.....mmmmmm no diversion signs.....just get off and follow the sheep infront of you!!!
After a brief but very nice diversion to Cocoa Beach, we had a great day at the centre. MOH successfully managed to steer me away from every opportunity of askin
