Back in the U.K. Wheres the sun?

We got back to the UK at stupid a clock yesterday morning after spensing a fantastic 2 weeks in Orlando.

We flew from Gatwick into Sanford on a MYtravel flight (never again thanks!) . Sanford is a small but OK airporrt for those who have nevr been. The Dollar rental desk is very easy to find and we got upgraded free from a compact to a Chrysler Pacifica if they ever bring one out over here i will seriuosly consider buying one!

We had booked a room at the Howard Jonson on the 192 (near MM2) for the duration so it was a fairley daunting drive but the directions given to us by the hotel and in the Dollar book were so simple even we didnt get lost (417 all the way to celebration).

The Hotel was OK the staff were fantastic!

We discovered the Cold stone Creamery at the water tower at Celebration and PJ,s Coffee shop and the cafe's and restaurants at Disneys Boardwalk (you have to have a breakfast burrito and a chocolat croissant with your coffee dont you?)

We are not really park people so we tended to spend most of our time finding the malls and reaquanting ourselves with the area around Celebration ( very dissapointed that the coffee shop by the cinema had shut down however the market street cafe came a close second!

The weather was fantastic apart from one and a half days of rain. The temperature was always in the 90's and was peaking at 109!

To top off a fantastic time we saw a Delorean in the Boardwalk car park with the plate 'MCFLY 1' If i can figure oout how to get the photo's off my wifes phone and onto my mac i will post them.

Overall a lovely break and great to be back in the sunshine state but to come back to this weather!! its so windy here in Soutampton i think im going hang gliding if have my coat open!!!!

Having had a few hours kip i must apologise for the completley random spelling. I blame it on the lack of Cold stone Ice cream and Jet lag or could even be the storms here in Hampshire?

Sounds good to me Chris. Cold stone icecream, yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Done the cheaper flight to Sanford, ok but prefer the way I aways go now, ie. Gatwick to Orlando International via Virgin. Long journey, need my comforts.

Thanks for all the great replys. I must apologise again for the awful spelling jet lag has certainly taken its toll!!

A few things that i forgot to mention. What was Belz (now Prime) factory outlets is looking very sad almost all of the food court has gone as has the carousel most of the stores seem to be just hanging on. Also much to my wifes dismay the Danskin shop has also gone.

The Goodings supermarket at the water tower section of Celebration has shut and a lot of the little stores are empty. In Celebration itself Hermans the cafe has also shut (shame as they did really good food and the staff were fantasticly friendly and had funny!)[V]

There is a lot of construction work for new developments or condo-hotel conversions going on so there are an awful lot of big tipper trucks using the 192.

I am posting more photo's in the relevant section as i download them.

    Chris
