has anyone been to this park,it looks quite intersting on the web site.The glass bottom boat trips really appeal to us,the only draw back is the disance,I think it is around 100miles from HAines City but would travel if its worth visiting.

We thoroughy enjoyed our day out at Silver Springs - and it's well worth a visit.

It's a great day out. Lots of interesting stuff to do in a beautiful setting and almost as far away from a theme park as you can imagine. You can take a picnic with you if you wish or there's an eaterie on site.
The original Tarzan films (with Johnny Weismuller) were shot there so that may give you some idea of the surroundings.

We enjoyed our visit last year;quite a low key day and not expensive. Teenagers may be bored,but there is plenty to entertain you for a day.Animal shows,a small zoo and gardens as well as the glass bottom boats
It took us about 2 hours each way (or would have if we had not had to stap at every shop)
