There was no queue when we went, so 15 minutes top. But it does depend when you go.

In all the years we've been visiting, we've never had to queue to collect a car from Sanford for more than 5 minutes. Orlando tends to be more busy, but we are Dollar express members, so get to jump the queue there anyway. Never needed to use it at Sanford because the queues are much shorter (although we don't fly into Sanford as much as we used to).

It really depends, I guess, on how many flights come in at the same time as to the length of the queue.

Sorry Terry, but we always have had a long wait to collect a car at Sanford, once it was over an hour, but perhaps we have always been at a busy time, hope you dont experience the same.

I am hoping that our collection will be quick, we have been given a fast track note for Avis.

Last time we went to Sanford airport we got through immigration, bag collection and car hire pickup all within 30 mins. Keeping our fingers crossed for this time.

On the 5 occasions we have used Sanford we have been in and out within 20 minutes, I guess you should be looking at about 1 hour from landing before you're on your way (immigration, pickup cases, pickup car). Have a lovely vacation....

Really just depends on when you arrive - how many other flights etc have landed.
We have normally not been to bad, think about 30 - 40 mins is the most we have waited.

    Enjoy your holiday

We too have always found Sanford a very efficient airport with total landing to on the road time within 30 minutes. The only time we have had any problem is when flights have been delayed & several arrive at once.
Tip! The toll road (417 Florida Greenway) can cut down on journey time especially at peak times so make sure you have some change or small notes handy.
    Have a great holiday!

Sanford is a better airport than MCO. Things move quicker there. You get better service at Sanford. There are too many people at MCO for them to bother. Many times during the busy seasons, the car hire at MCO run out of cars even though we booked and pay for two cars 3 months before. We and about 30 other people had to come back the following day . The car hire employees didnt seem to be too bothered as well.
