If you use Marks and Spencer, the rate is better than the post office.

speaking from personnal experience I used my Nationwide debit card to get cash from ATM's using Sunbank machines in Walmart and Presto outside Publix, I was not charged a fee for this service and received 5cents higher than the tourist rate.

When you are drawing out £200 at a time that is a good rate and for me I only drew out what we required to use. Anything left over in my Nationwide account can be used on our next holiday rather than $ t/c which either sit in a draw until the next visit or have to be sold back.

    Travelex $1.833 at the moment.

Personally I like the convenience of having TC's at hand whenever I need them rather than finding an ATM. I also don't have a problem with ones I haven't used sitting in a draw for next year, in fact it comes as quite a suprise to find $400 that you forgot you had.[msnsmile2]

Just seen this rate Paul. Do we think it will carry on rising. Not a financial wiz kid and don't study the markets.

If you get $ from Marks and Spencer, how do you buy them? do they just sell them at the store or do they need to be ordered?

You just go in for them Shirley. Very rare if you have to order them and I think this is only at the most busy time of the holidays. My sister has had to a couple of times but she goes at the main time of year.

Is it just the major M&S stores that do $ exchange as I have not noticed it advertised in our local branch?
