I once read that its not a good idea to have Air con extended in the garage
as if someone wants to bring the car in
and leaves it running the the smoke can get into the House [msneek]

we have a games room and just have a roof fan works fine for us
guest can move the tables to get a car in if needs most ,
    but no one has yet

with the Dark windows and air con in the car its works fine

Garage v Games room is a point us ownwers debate quite often, and you can see both points of view.

Personally, I asked all my previous guests who all said they prefered to use the garage for the car, so I left it that way.

What ever you chose have a great time.

More advice please, I have been thinking about what time we are going, what if I book from the 21st June and my sons exam timetable has an exam after this date?[:O] We won't know this until dec when the kids have their exam timetables, but if I leave it until then I won't be able to book anything will I? I want to book now , I'm all excited[8D] when I get round to booking, is it best to book villa or flights first? I have never done the booking bit before and when MIL did it, it was through travel agent, which is not what I want to do.

The exam time tables are pretty rigid every year, so I would see when the last exams are this year and go the following week. That way you should be safe.

I would also get the flights booked first, you will still have lots of villas to chose from that far in advance.

Vicky I have been from the 24th to the 8th of July last year and I found the parks to be ok, I never went on the 4th of July so I cant comment, my best advice to give you regarding Magic Kingdom is dont go there at the weekends, Tuesday or Wednesday is usually quiet, have a great time.

I agree that you are probably better sorting flights first, unless you have picked a villa that you really love.

I personally think a games room would be appreciated more than a garage. Before we bought our villa we stayed in quite a few and never used the garage at all. The air con does kick in fast and if you have kids (and big kids for that matter) in your party, they will like and use a games room. I know there is lots to do with the theme parks but once you are chilling at the villa, a games room just adds a little more to the enjoyment of keeping everyone happy.

    Hi Vicky

I go in July always, just avoid the parks on the 4th July and the weekends, enjoy the villa over the weekend instead, I have 3 boys and they spend all their time in our games room and the pool.

    Have a great holiday.

    Hi Vicky,

There is no set rule which to book first, if you are looking at villas and find one you love, then I would go ahead and book it. Flights are usually released approx. 1 year in advance, and you will have plenty of time to book your flight if you are not going until next year.

We went in July last year, and though the parks were busy they were not too overcrowded, and we loved it!

As for games room versus garage, if you feel you would use a games room, then go for the games room. If you have teenagers, then a games room would get used a lot, I know mine does!
We have never put a car in the garage, and what we usually do is just open the car doors while we pack up the car, and by then it has cooled down enough to drive off.

Whenever you decide to go it will be great, Florida is fantastic at anytime of the year [msnsmile2]
