    First Time to Orlando

    Hello:

This is my first time to Walt Disney World and I will be there for 2 1/2 weeks. Can anyone tell me what else I could do beside the parks? I am very excited about my vacation.

    Hi Alex1p

    Welcome to the forums

Naturally, if you haven't been to Orlando before, you will want to see and do as much as possible, including all the amazing theme parks, but there are as you have suggested a thousand and one other activities and attractions to enjoy during your stay.

If you go to the top of this page and use the "search" facility, you will find hundreds of suggestions on how to spend your time.

And if you do need theme park tickets, I can highly recommend the ticket link (above). Great prices and great service !

    Have fun planning [8D]

Hi Alex, Our friends who came with us this year was their first time, they found lots to do. One day went to St Petersburg which is a fantastic beach on the gulf coast, Kennedy Space Centre, Gatorland and lots of other things. Have a wonderful holiday. You'll be hooked when you come back.

You've come to the right place for information Alex - all the regular visitors to this site have given us loads of information over the past couple of years, which was when we started planning our first trip and stumbled across this forum.
Since then the things we have done besides the parks are:
    Swimming with dolphins
    Hot air balloon flight
Hired a Hummer H2 for the day
Spent the day at Clearwater and watched the sunset at the pier
Car and bike nights at Old Town - this is where Skycoaster/G-Force and Slingshot ar located
    Skyventure - indoor sky diving
The list of things that Florida has to offer just goes on and on.
You could also look at the photo's section and if you see something that you like the look of ask what it is and where they are doing it.
We also have our own website that has loads of Florida pics on it, as well as a 5 minute music video showing the highlights of last years trip. If you want the address then feel free to DM me and I will send it to you.
Whatever you decide to to I think everyone will agree that you will have the time of your life.

Another suggestion is the Boggy Creek airboat rides, great fun and a chance to see wildlife in their natural habitat.

Enjoy reading through the Orlando Guide, there is so much to see and do, you will have a wonderful and memorable time[msnsmile2]

Have a great time, but I am afraid that you will find that 2 1/2 weeks are nowhere near enough and you will need to keep coming back to fit it all in.

As it is your first trip please remember to pace yourselves and have the odd day to chill out.

My family find shopping a great change to parks.

As others have said have a good read through the guide.

Hi Alex - and welcome to the forum!

Gosh - you'll be spoilt for choice - there is so much to do and see. In fact - one holiday won't be long enough to fit it all in!

    Enjoy!

    Hi Alex
So much to see and do. When do you go? I would suggest trying to set out a provisonal itinerary so that you get to do the most popular things on your list. Being Florida you will never achieve everything in one first you'll have to be back for more[clap]
