    baseball matches

    can anyone tell me how long it takes to get to tropicana field as i would like to see a baseball game on my visit in july to see the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.I will be staying at the southerns dunes resort orlando

    It just over an hour to get there from Davenport. Tropicana field is on the otherside of Tampa, nearer to St Petes.

    cheers for the info. do you no if you are able to buy tickets there..they are playin Boston Red Socks on the 6th of July.

    I would think that you will need to buy tickets in advance for a game like that. Look at the Devil Rays web site to see what they advise.

    Its cheaper to buy them from the ground.
    Ticketmaster charge for all sorts of things

    Even eTickets.

    They charge convenience charges, credit card charges etc.

    We booked to see Orlando Magic play in January, it nearly doubled the price of the tickets.
    Where we could have just paid at the box office when we got there.

    Best to enquire with the stadium!

    As its so near 4th July I would definitely buy them ahead of time. Though having said that there were lots of seats available when we went in August last year, though it was only a week after the New York Yankees played them.

    TAKES 1H 30 MINS TO TROPICANA FIELD PARKING IS NOW FREE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE TICKETS AT THE STADIUM WITH NO PROBLEMS, THE FAN BASE IN TAMPA IS LIMITED AND EVEN PLAYING THE REDSOX THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF TICKETS AVALIABLE THEY RANGE FROM $6 UPWARDS THE AIRPLANE SEATS ARE THE CHEAPEST THE VIEW THERE IS FINE ALSO.
    IF YOUR A FAN GET THERE 90MINS PRIOR TO GAME YOU CAN GET AUTOGRAPHS FROM THE PLAYERS IF YOU THROW DOWN SOME BASEBALLS THEY WILL SIGN THEM FOR YOU.

    The first game we went to, we ended up with 2 or 3 baseballs, as they are hit in to the stands the fans collect them.
    They are not usually given back only for signing!
