Orlando Airport Security Change?

On my last 2 visits the second security check was not being used

We've always been checked too but this time we flew out to Orlando 29th March and walked through (no checking handluggage etc) and we flew back yesterday and again people were walking through. There is a walkway which direct's you to the monorail which is being manned so you cannot deviate through to the shop's. Don't know if this is going to be permenant or not ?

We didn't use it when we arrived in February and they were not using it when we left either
