I agree with all the other replys, they are spot on[clap].I have never seen blue skys quickly become black skys then within 30 mins or so clear blue skys gain. Parks are excelent in mid to late August very little lines. We went to clearwater last August and the sea water was luke warm,Have a great time [msncool]

I went in August last trip and expected it to be really busy, but it was quieter than my visits in Feb and April the previous few years.

One day i saw the heaviest downpour ever, yet 30 minutes later you would not have even known it had rained.

I'm stuck with August too, Sparky, but we still go back every year. My advice for the parks is - go early, go late, but don't, whatever you do, arrive around 11 a.m.

We broke that golden rule a couple of times last year and it wasn't fun.

The rain's no problem, and usually quite welcome.

We went last August and the queues really weren't a problem. I would suggest getting out early in the day anyway, just in case your day is cut short by a rainfall, but if you're like me you'll love it when it does rain and it's still really warm.

I love every time of year but just love the storms the best
    Lots of thunder etc
We have just returned but only had one storm whilst we were there
The biggest disapointment, storm wise, was last July, thought we be guaranteed storms but not to be
Didn't have a one in the two weeks we were there
The thing to watch out for is if you are in the water parks and it rains, we were once in the lazy river when it began and realised our clothes, books etc were out on our loungers[msnscared][msnscared]
    Still they soon dried off
