Hi
Can anyone recommend the best places to buy gluten free produce?
I'm hoping that there may be more varieties available in the US as there is limited choice here.
Thanks

If you type in coeliac into the search box (top of each forum page) you'll find a whole load of suggestions for where to buy gluten free and also for eating out. Sorry but I can't post all the links as there are so many.

Thanks for the excellent links.
Quite relieved to know that no one will go hungry.

Our first stop when we get there is to go to Chamberlins Health Store at the bottom of the John Young Parkway.
It's right off the 192 into Main St (which is what it is called at that point) and stock up on our organic produce, pills etc. It's in the first plaza on the right.
There's an even bigger one with a cafe at Winter Park Village, Winter Park.
Hope that helps.

Publix will send you a long and detailed list of products available in their store if you email them. Restaurants seem much more geared up to special dietary needs so am sure you will not have a problem. Hope you have a great time.[msncool]

Just to add to this a word of caution. Disney are fantastic with dietry needs (our daughter has coeliac disease) and all their resturants couldn't have been more helpfull. As for the rest we were met with blank stares. It took a while to realise that they didn't understand the term coeliac, try wheat intolerance instead. You can't buy bread in any supermarket anywhere. Chamberlains was the only place that stocked it and we never managed to find it![:I] Also be careful of labels if it states a product has modified starch as an ingredient it still may be wheat based. Our labeling is years ahead of the States, it is rare to see an alergy warning box. My advice is take enough for your stay.
Once you look on the links you find just email the places. We are a family of 4, 3 of us have CD and Wheat Intolerance and like back here or wherever we go we never worry there are always places to eat and cater for us. Just ask, it works.
Have a good Holiday.
Peter
Thanks for everyone's replies. I have emailed a number of places and had some great responses.[msntongue]
