I'm sure she would have done if we'd have pretended to be at the original Mardi Gras

But as it was we were too busy fretting over our 2 kids who got trampled every time one of those cheap, plasticky 50 cent bead necklaces came within 2ft of them. Unfortunatley everyone else thought that the cheap, plasticky 50 cent bead necklaces were actually made of pure gold, so assumed that they were quite justified in crushing 2 children in order to add to the 20+ that they already had. (I'm sorry - that night has affected me more than I thought )
One woman who should have known better given that she was easily in her 60's actually bent down to my daughter (7 years old) and told her to 'Go away and leave the beads alone'
