Sam your not being stupid!! many of us have had difficulties!, i still have to get my son to do it for me when i change it at christmas time, i cant tell you how to do it, but my advise would be go to google, tap in "free avatars" then browse through them, and if you see one you like try right clicking on it and save as in your pc,, then ask maybe Tezz, hes very good with it save a few incase you cant get one to work,
