    Digital Camera!

    Hello,
May sound like a stupid question but here goes:

When we are in Orlando, would our digital camera fit an american computer, or are there computers just the same as it is over in england?
    Thanks for your time

Yep, the camera should connect to a US computer just the same as a UK computer.

Is it a computer in a villa? The reason I ask is because many villa PCs are kept somewhat secure and will not allow files to be saved on the computer's disk. Do check with the villa owner what is, or is not, allowed on the villa PC.

    Yep

Our Camera is a Canon IXUS and just fits to any computer with a USB connection.

For charging your camera you may need a UK - US socket adapter. Couple of pounds in Boots.

Should attach by the standard USB cable. Depending on other peripherals in use there may of course not be any ports spare - but a small 4 port USB hub would solve that problem.

Just be aware that because of the voltage difference in America everything takes a lot longer to recharge, so take lots of batteries. We always get our photos developed in Wal Mart or Walgreens because it is much cheaper to get the photos printed out, and put onto disc than it is in the UK. This also frees up the memeory cards to take lots more photos!

No problems with ours. Like Steve Says check with the owners to see if they will allow downloads to their PC.

You may also consider buying a small USB card reader. I got one from WalMart cost $19 I think. Advantage is that you read your camera card from this device and your camera battery doesn't run down, as is common if you plug the camera direct into the PC.

    Happy Snapping!
