    i-rove dial up package

    Quickie..

I've got the i-rove dial up software,$9.99 but you have to be in a local area that they have a phone number for.

Sadly, our Villa in Rotunda doesn't have one, so I'm thinking does our villa at the Hamlet at Westhaven?

Does anyone know what the local dialling code is for Westhaven?

Long shot I know, but if it's not, there's no point taking my lapotp.

    Thanks.

It is the budget one Jean, it's called mytravelaccess, and I've already paid the $9:99 for it sadly.

Maybe I've got this wrong, but my understanding is that to get the free access (albeit for a set fee) the provider has to have a number in the local area you are dialling in from. There is a list in the dial up software, and if the dialling code you are located in at the time does not appear in the list (which is about 6000 numbers I think) you then have to use the more expensive toll free number.

I'm looking for the local dialling code for Westhaven to see if it's in the list.

    Thanks Maureen, got it.

Sadly they only have 422, typical, seems that was a complete waste of time and 10 bucks.

I'll have to use the more expensive toll free number but I've got no idea how expensive it is. I hate computers.[msnsad]

We are at four corners and the code we used was for Lakeland an 863 code. We didn't have to pay $9.99 either !! nothing about mytravelaccess either, are you sure it was the same one ?

macka, my son bought a laptop the other week . the villa we stayed in didnt have the net, but he was able to pick up a signal from nearby. oddly enough it was also a good signal in the george and dragon and beef o bradys and i am fully suppportive of a good signal[msnwink]

he got a belkin wireless card for £20 to slot into the gadget from a duty free shop, but something similar is prob cheaper out there.

[laugh]Thanks Trev, I don't have a wireless function, and Frankly, I'm losing the will to live[xx(].

I think I'll just wait until I get back and post my reports then[msnsad].
