I just heard about an hour ago. I knew him when he played for Chelsea and feel very sad at the moment.

Oh, what a shame[msncry] I have just spoken to hubby back home and he told me the sad news. I used to be in love with him when I was younger[msnembarrased] 59 is no age.

He was my boy hood hero too when I started supporting Chelsea in 1967.

I suppose if your going to go that is the way to go but so young. It's when people like that, 7 years older than me, go it gets me thinking.

    Long live the King.

Borrowed from the CFC Website "PETER OSGOOD BOOK OF CONDOLENCE"

    Out from the Shed,
    Came a rising young star,
Scoring goals past Pat Jennings from near and from far.
    And Chelsea won,
As we all knew they would,
And the star of that great team was Peter Osgood.
    Osgood, Osgood, Osgood, Osgood.
Born is the ki-ing of Sta-amford Bridge!

A great man, a tribute to football, a role model for todays
youth, he will be missed by everyone who has football in their heart, young or old.

The Man, The Legend, The Ossie.
Farewell to the King of Stamford Bridge, gone but never forgotten.
