Another newbie to the forum

Just introducing myself. I've already posted a question in Driving in Florida and have received some great advice.

I'm a Disney World nut! I finally went for the first time for my 30th birthday after 22 years of dreaming and 14 months of planning and saving back in 2002. I went with my sister and her 4 year old son. We went two weeks before Christmas--it was perfect! A little chilly, but no lines.

Now, my sister and I are on a mission to go again in August 2007. I have 18 months to plan and save. This time, though, we're taking her new blended-family--husband and three children (plus a teenage cousin).

I've been appointed the official vacation planner considering how well I did the last time and how well I do with smaller trips. I never cease to amaze my sister with my contingency plans.

I'm am truly grateful to have stumbled upon this forum. I knew we would need to rent a vacation home, but I never thought I would find so many helpful people. And being able to rent exactly the home we want is key.

I'm glad that Disney lived up to your expectations. I'm sure you'll all have a fantastic time next year. With 18 month to plan it should be perfect. It won't be chilly in August so don't forget to put sunscreen at the top of you list. If you have any questions you know you have found the best place to get them answered. [8D]

I would start looking for a villa now as August is a popular month and most owners will already have bookings in place for that month

So pleased to hear you had a great time in Florida just before Christmas. We were there too and although it is a cooler time of year we just love the atmosphere of the build up to Christmas.

You'll notice a huge difference in the weather in August!

How exciting to be "the planner" - you'll find plenty of advice and help on the forum and lots of tips for lovely places to visit etc.

Welcome to the forums Robin. I always find myself in the position of organizer and I love it. I make sure my Itenary runs with military precision[msnwink]

You will have a wonderful time and as organizer you will find things much easier with the help of this site, this year I plan to do things we haven't done before and I wouldn't have known about them if I hadn't read all these wonderful pages.

Ask away with any questions and someone will know the answer. The planning is almost as exciting as the vacation, and you can set your countdown clock and watch it getting closer and closer
