Yes no problem with that. As lucy said you can't take the gas ones. Just out of interest is it dual voltage? For when you get there.

Simply take a disposable razor to your hotel room the night before, and shave off all your hair. This way you will not need an electric hotbrush at all or indeed any other haircare equipment, saving a small fortune on both butane, and hair stylists.

Not too keen on that suggestion Macka, I like to have hair it keeps my head warm when at home in the UK.[msnwink]

I take my gas hotbrush in my hand baggage all the time. I questioned this at check in with Delta to check it was ok and they said as long as the gas cylinder has been pierced and has been in use you are ok, it is the spare unused ones you can not take. Anyway that is what they told me and I have had no problems when they have scanned my bags. After this thread I will ask again though when I fly First Choice in October.

I checked with Virgin about taking my Braun independant (gas) and was told the same as above.

The latest travel Braun electric toothbrush are now dual voltage but our original is not, had to get another one from Walmart for the charger.

Same as our new tri band Nokia phone which we took with us last year to use, we had to buy a car charger as the plug wouldn't work. Walmart did have a charger but were out of stock.

Why not just by a travel adapter from the Airport before you go or at one of the many electical outlets on the 192 and then you can use your UK plugged charger?
