I have booked my car via this site. Can you tell me if i have the gold option do i still have to leave my credit card imprint?

Whenever I have hired a car in the US I have always had to leave a credit card imprint.

I am 99% sure you always have to leave an imprint. I have certainly always had to leave one in the past with Gold Cover.

You can be asked to do so but in reality we personally find we never get asked. So, the official answer is yes, you could be asked to do so.

When I asked why I had to leave a credit card imprint when everything was covered with the gold option I was told that this was in case of any traffic fines I got because the hire company would be liable for them. It seems that it depends on the person who is sorting out the paperwork as to whether or not you are asked to leave a credit card imprint. I have never had anything charged against it when using the gold option.
