    Well done Les[clap][clap][clap]

We will hold you to the half a stone a month now you had declared it here[msnwink]

Didnt get to walk quite so far this evening as my friends' blister has somehow got infected and started hurting badly. I will clock it tomorrow in the car but I am guessing we managed about 3 miles which is still better than sitting in the pub, drinking bacardi breezers, doing badly on the pub quiz[msnwink][msnembarrased]

    Evening all,

Just reporting in that I have lost 1 lb this week, thought it might have been more but still it is one more down.

Well done Les on your loss. I want another 7 lbs off before mid July, it is going to be hard as I hope to go off sailing to France for a week and it is hard to eat healthily on the boat. DH says it should be no problem for me, but then it doesn't do the catering.

Well done Jill on the 1lb loss. I am sure you can do the 7lbs by mid July.

Thanks Julie, I would have like to walk more and at a faster pace but never mind.

A bit nervous about posting my food diary as I still have a lot to learn but here goes.

    Original day.

Tinned red salmon with salad for lunch, plus 2 medium slices of Warburtons All in One bread. Sorry, dont do breakfast but I do sometimes have a peice of fruit or a virtually fat free yoghurt.

Sirloin steak, grilled tomatos, 200g Baked potato, 100g reduced calories coleslaw and 28g sweetcorn.

I have also eaten loads of fruit, grapes, 2 x apples, pear, melon and a peach.

Have had loads of water too, I dont drink tea or coffee so dont tend to have milk much either.

Think I should probably have a few more syns but I am not hungry at all.

If anybody has a chance to look at my food diary today I would be happy to hear your comments.

    Karen

Karen, your food diary looks good[clap] There were probably some syns in your coleslaw[msnwink]

I am not a SW expert yet but in my view you neeed to eat more at breakfast[msnwink] I used to be the same but now I eat breakfast, normally Porridge - Oats so Simple, or sometimes Weetabix with fruits and yog. Also I could not find sweetcorn on the free list, I don't eat sweetcorn but Mizzy will know if they are free on Red days, peas are only free on green days.

Eggs are free on both days so you could have eggs any style.

Breakfast is the most imprtant meal of the day because it kick starts your metabolism - if you imagine a fire without coal it goes out, and the same goes for your met rate if you don't feed the fire it won't burn and your weight loss will be slower[msnsmile2]

You are doing really well, and I think posting our diaries is good because if any of us are doing anything wrong it gets picked up early, a few weeks ago I made an mistake on a Success Express Day and Mizzy put me right[clap]

    Have agreat day all!!!!

    good morning

congratulations Jill on the weight loss

i dont always post a full food diary Julie put i do still post the meals i'm having or planning
    will try harder, i promise[msnwink]

Karen , now don't panic but there's just a bit i'm not sure of in your diary, you have 2 healthy B choices and i can see one is the potato which needs to be 227g but not sure about the others
the warburtons all in one bread is not in my book as a B choice so you might want to double check that (if it's definately a wholemeal bread and from 400/800gm loaf then it will be ok)
    1 slice from a 800g wholemeal loaf = 1 healthy B
the sweetcorn would be syns on a red day 1.5 per 28g, coleslaw reduced calorie = 4 syns pper 100g
you do need to eat one healthy A choice and it doesn't need to be milk
    hope this helps

Les, like you i try to aim for half stone targets at a time, focusing on smaller more achieveable really helps and of course all those little targets soon add up[msnsmile2]

lets have another fantastic day everyone

    Mizzy

    Hi guy's
Just want to thank everyone for the support and welcome
I'm fairly new to this but yesterday
Mullerlite (vanilla) I think that is free although i see Julie counting 1/2 sin, is it that some flavours are different.Fresh fruit.

Salmon and beetroot on wholemeal warburtons.

    Spaggetti bol for tea.
    Water and two G&T'S.

Just off for my breakfast for today

Thanks for the info Julie, I will try to eat more for breakfast in future.

Mizzy, according to my book the reduced calorie coleslaw is 2.5 syns for 100g on original day.
My team leader added the warburtons all in one bread as a healthy b choice for both red and green days so I will double check with her on Tuesday. I had counted the sweetcorn as 1.5 for 28g.

Can anybody suggest a nice curry recipe using the quorn chicken pieces?

    Have a good day all.[msnsmile]
