Julie B, don't get down about your static weight, Half the time I feel better just for making the effort, even if I don't lose ( I hope I still feel that way if I don't lose this week[msnoo])

Leisa, sounds like you were very restrained on your evening out with friends, much better behaved than I would have been[msnwink] Just like Sharon and her trip to the cinema, don't know if I could be so strong willed

Theresa, sorry you are going through a bit of a battle with the eating plan at the moment, once you let go it's hard to get back on track, but we are all rooting for you,CAN do it!!![clap][clap][msneek]

Hubby wants to go to the cinema at the weekend to see The DaVinci Code, we haven't seen a film together for at least 10 years ( except on the plane [msnwink])so I have to make the effort. Anyway, he says I have to read the book first so I am off to read a few chapters in the garden whilst the sun is still shining. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone[msnsmile2]

I am having a green day today, weetabix for breakfast, beans on toast for dinner and as I have so much shoice at the moment I can't decide on tea.

I just wanted to ask the medics on here[msnwink] is it normal for a strained muscle to bruise. I noticed a large bruise on my calf yesterday and now it's on my shin. I don't know I really need to take advice before starting to excercise again.[msnembarrased]

    Hi Girls
I've been really off track this last few days. I've decided I'm going to make a real effort over the next couple of weeks and see how I go from there. I know if I tried hard, I could lose what I want to within 6 weeks or so, but finding it very hard to motivate myself right now.
I love reading everyone's posts-I think I've found it motivating just reading how hard you're all trying!

It depends on how you strained it Paula. It won't usually bruise if you just strain it exercising. It it possible you could have banged it? The bruising would explain why it has been so painful.

(quote)However, there are some things that should be checked before assuming the injury is caused by a hamstring tear. A hamstring tear will feel tender to the touch, and may be bruised. There may also be bruising over the back of the knee. Movements such as bending, e.g. touching toes, will be painful. However, pains in this area are not always due to a hamstring tear, let us not jump to conclusions. If when leaning back, or when running your hands down either side of the leg, there is no pain, then the problem may lie in the lower back, like in Sciatica, caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve which runs down the back of the leg. It may also be a muscle spasm. This can sometimes happen in response to a knee injury, restricting movement of the damaged joint. (unquote)

not sure if this is of any help? just take it easy.........

Go for it Carole, the girls are certainly keeping me on the straight and narrow. Don't be too hard on yourself if you don't manage to lose it in 6 weeks, just keep at it!!
    Good Luck[msnsmile2]

Hi Carole i really hope we can motivate you back onto the right track, i know that once you've had a few weeks ,days or months off then the first 3-4 days back are a killer[msnscared]
have you got something to aim for like a holiday or special event or even just a dress size as this could help motivate you or is it just a case of me coming over there and you needing a swift kick on the behind[msneek][msnwink][msnsmile2]

btw you looked great on the photo's that you sent me and if i looked like you i'd be over the moon[msnsmile2]
a nice new week starts tommorow so i really hope, joking apart, that you'll be raring to go[clap]

well girls i've had a very upsetting afternoon and i really could strangle certain family members[gun] but sadly it's against the law

i am NOT going to turn to food despite the upset [msneek] i'm going to make myself some potato wedges and a dip and cuss everyone under my breath to get it out of my system[msnmad]

    i'm so angry i could cry[msncry][msnmad]

check in later when i've calmed down
