Thanks everyone, and thank you all for your help.

I'm still feeling very pleased with myself and will be going to bed with a big grin on my face

Had some tasters of things in the class today and some were very nice, so have a few more ideas of things to make.

Congratulations to both Carole on her great weight loss, and Sally on another great weight loss. Well done both of you, you must both be delighted!!!!!

Julie thanks sooooo much for posting those recipes. I will print them off at work tomorrow. That's brilliant, thanks for going to the trouble! Will incorporate them in next two weeks menus!

My daughter has decided to be a vegetarian, so I am trying to juggle my SW meals, with son's love of meat, and daughter's love of non-meat dishes, its a real juggling act, as they don't always love the SW stuff! I am cheffing mad at the moment!

    Hello Everyone,

My name is Julie, I did a bit of a welcome on the welcome page forum, thanks for the warm welcomes.

Bear with me, this is all new to me, let me give you a brief history. (hope I don't bore you all to death!)

I'm 39, married with 3 children, ages 12, 10 and 7, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I managed to lose allmy excess weight post children but has steadily gone back on in the last 5 years. Having been to Florida twice in the last 2 years as a fatty, I decided when we booked our next trip for march 07 that I was not going back fat this time. I wanted to buy nice clothes, not feel self consious in the water parks etc. So about 8 or 9 weeks ago, I brought myself a really good treadmill and away I went. I find myself thinking where am I going wrong and getting demotivated slightly. Here's why. I get up at 6 every morning and do 25 minutes on the treadmill. I have porridge for breakfast, salad with tuna and 2 rice cakes and an apple for lunch, and chicken breast with loads of veggies for Tea. I did lose 6lbs in the first week (to be expected when you first go on a diet - been here before, can you tell!) but since then I have only been losing a lb here and a lb there. I have lost 16lb in total which is good I hear you cry, but with what I'm doing, surely 2lb a week is not too much to hope for. I am so absolutely focused on what I'm doing, and still have about 4stone to lose I will do anything to get where I want to be. Somebody suggested that I wasn't eating enough! Any one got any ideas? I'm not hungry, the size of the salads and vegetables is enough without being excessive.

I've been reading the slimming forums and find them really motivational, so I thought I would like to join in if you don't mind. Any advice anyone can give me would be extremely useful. To be where I want to be by next March, I need to lose about 1.5lb a week which is why I'm disappointed when it doesn't come off - what does a girl have to do! I don't think I'm doing anything wrong and I don't expect massive quick weight loss but not to lose is sooo depressing! Help !!!! Julie x

Hi Julie B, is it ok to call you Julie B? because we already have Julie (mach2) and julieanne and it's gonna get confusing

it's always lovely to have some one new join us on this topic so your very welcome

i too have lost a fair bit, since Jan 2nd i have lost 1 stone 12.5lbsbut even though i still have a fair bit more to lose i was gutted because the weight suddenly slowed, i switched all my foods around, ate more and tried lots of new things and hey presto 2.5lbs off this week[clap]

if you are eating the same foods over and over i would suggest you try new recipes and add more variety to your menu (Julie has been busy posting recipes the last few days!!!) some lovely ones too[msntongue]

we all know how gutting it is to stay the same or for your weight to slow down to a crawl[msnsad] but we will support you and help to encourage you to keep at it, hopefully we wont overwhelm you and you'll be glad you've joined in[msnsmile]

    Mizzy

ps i have another 2.5-3 stone [msneek][msnembarrased]that i would like to lose but realistically i would be happy with another 2stone[msnwink][msnsmile] it's gonna be a long journey for me!!!
