Mizzy - I don't have too much but I have to be so careful with certain fresh fruits. I love fresh pineapple but the instant it touches my lips my mouth swells [msnsad]
    Have similar problems with oranges...

Mizzy I have that leaflet, can't quite get round the pasta, but am going to try it as I know you said it was tasty.

Liesa you can eat chocolate, but allow for it. Trouble with me is stopping at just 1 small bar, ditto biscuits etc so I fnd it better not to have anything like that in the house because otherwise I WILL eat it!

For breakfast you need things like porridge or other cereal (branflakes), wholemeal toast with jam / marmite, or eggs (poached, scrambled, boiled) on toast with baked beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms cooked in water - add some black pepper and parsley and they taste much better than that sounds!

Lunch then can be jacket pot with beans and grated cheese, spruced up with some chopped onion, or with tuna & extra low-fat mayo, or cottage cheese & salad. If you love lashing of butter on it, try and cut down to a soupcon and then eventually to nothing. Or a sandwich with brown bread with meat & salad, or cheese & salad or egg (depends what you have had for brekkies really).

Allow for snacks for when you get the munchies or it will all end in distaster - chopped carrots, celery, even pepper sticks if you like them, make yourself a dip with quark slightly flavoured with lemon or chilli powder if you like it spicy. This is when you can have a mini packet of choc buttons or something like that.

Plenty of fresh fruit - at least 5 portions of fruit and veg to be eaten a day.

Drink lots of water - at least 5 glasses a day on top of tea and coffee which acts as a diuretic, many people are dehydrated giving them joint aches etc. Pee should pale yellow in colour (sorry about this folks), if it is not, you are not drinking enough water.

Supper - rice / pasta / potatoes with meat / fish / fowl and large portion of veg or salad to accompany it. Or veggie rice / pasta if you prefer.
Pud - low fat jelly and low fat cream with some fruit is good - can make a quick pud with a small meringue, squirty low fat cream and some frozen raspberries / blueberries (whatever you like fruit wise) - obivously allowing any frozen fruit to defrost, and makes tasty pud with low calories.

    Here endeth the lesson!

Well Done Sally thats a great acheivement[clap][clap][clap]

Julieanne, Fiona has suggested some great teas i would suggest you have a green day as you have had two healthy extras with oats and chicken now you can have unlimited pasta potatoes rice etc
so how about chips for tea,!!!beans and a fried egg or with quorn sausages(all free food on green)[msntongue] Julie posted how to make sw chips a few weeks ago but i can dm you the recipe if you want

Sharon with the attitude you have at the moment i can't see you putting the weight back on, you seem to have accepted that you have to change your lifestyle in order to lose weight and keep it off and this is the main route to longterm success, as you know there is no such thing as a quick fix and to manage your weight you have to change your attitudes to food not for a few weeks but for life and you've definately done that
    [msnsmile2]

i'm sure you will have a lovely wedding and enjoy your meal whatever you chose[clap]

Liesa you pile that trolley high girl [msnwink] remember mothers day is around the corner as well as easter and you need to get a head start just in case those naughty chocolate monsters strike again[msnembarrased][msnwink]

    Fiona i thank you!!

    Sally very well done!

have had oatso simple for breakfast, love it!
having a cup of hot water with lemon, have stopped buying choc for the box in fridge for all the others, the grandchildren love dried fruit similar to the garden gangs i think,, so will replace their chocs with them!

will go for a poached egg on toast for lunch today, and is pasta with napoletana sauce ok for dinner this evening? its an asda one, its Laurens favourite so have to share with her, going for an easy dinner tonight as friends round later and want to relax instead of DIY and hours at the cooker!,
am determined very determined now!! not going to follow any particular slimming club just cut down and asking advise, hope this is ok?

RE mothers day, boring ol me has asked if the children would like to get me something , would they like to club together for dolls house vouchers, we have a wonderful shop a 30 min drive with such lovely items for the houses in there, and it is my house![msnwink] couldnt get anymore personal for me then that!! choc is forbidden now!!! until i get on the right track!!

here's are recipe for all those who like malt loaf, it's made with weetabix and it tastes gorgeous
even my very fussy kids love it (3 1/2syns per slice)

    you will need 2
    2 weetabix
    4oz sultanas
142ml of skimmed milk and the same amount of water
    4 oz sr flour
    1 tsp mixed spice
    1/2 oz artificial sweetener (optional)
    1 beaten egg

    how to make
Preheat oven to 180 or gas 4
put weetabix in a medium bowl add milk water and sultanas and allow the weetabix to soak up the liquid
stir in the flour, sweetener, mixed spice and beaten egg
spoon into 1lb loaf tin and bake in oven for 1 1/4 hours (reduce time if fan assisted oven)
cool on wire rack and cut into 12 slices anjoy as a dessert, snack or breakfast (when your on the run)
